3rd Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value-Based Care
January 18 - January 20
This conference is organised by the American College of Perioperative Medicine (ACPM). It’s overall goal is to apply the triple (clinical, operational, and financial) aim principle to patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. The organizers aim to achieve this goal by applying unique team concept – breaking the “silos” (game-changing interdisciplinary opportunity – participants will brainstorm, problem-solve and network), and also educating stakeholders that are involved in the journey of an orthopedic patient. The 2019 program will include (flexible exploration by participants):
- Three boot camps (January 18): Building an Orthopedic Bundle; Building an ASC Ambulatory Practice; Building an ASC Orthopedic ERAS-Perioperative Surgical Home Program
- Two concurrent to boot camps hands-on cadaveric labs (January 18): Regional Anesthesia (interscalene, TAPs, PECs, adductor canal, and popliteal blocks) & Orthopedic outpatient based orthopedic procedures (anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, uni-compartmental and total knee arthroplasty utilizing single use instrumentation; new patient specific 3D printed surgical guide technologies)
- over 60 cutting-edge, rapid-fire breakout sessions (January 19-20): second half of the day divided into concurrent sessions: Clinical, Operational, Financial
Over 35 internationally renowned interdisciplinary speakers.
The 2018 meeting brought more than 400 participants.
